DJ Dantas

DJ Dantas is the founder of Solvane Strategies, where he leads the firm’s investment vision, strategy development, and overall direction. He brings a multidisciplinary background that spans institutional trading, corporate finance, and early-stage venture investing. A combination that informs Solvane’s hybrid approach to public markets.

His passion for markets began at 15 years old, when he opened an E*TRADE account and began trading equities and equity derivatives. After generating a profitable return that funded his first car, he was hooked and he's been studying the markets ever since.

DJ began his career at Wellington Management, where he traded equity, credit, and OTC derivatives in support of global macro, emerging market, and sector-based portfolio managers. His time on the trading desk sharpened his understanding of market structure, risk, and execution across asset classes. 

A lifelong student of markets, DJ launched Solvane to pursue a core conviction: that alpha lives at the intersection of data-driven discipline and human intuition. He designed the firm to blend quantitative modeling with discretionary insights. Building a lean, adaptive, and deeply curious team focused on solving investment puzzles with clarity and precision.

DJ holds a B.S. in Finance and Accounting, with minors in Economics and Applied Mathematics, from Northeastern University.

Outside of markets, DJ is a father, a former Olympic weightlifting competitor, D1 lacrosse athlete, and an active member of his local church community.
